You make Miami jealous. I stalk your Soho in the early morning. The world is quite bland. You were purchased from free injuns. $5 for New York baby. The injuns later built your towers. Cheap labor baby. Your streets are named after those in London. Eventhough your streets were once walked by Dutchmen. I've been to your Chinatown. New York. You make Miami jealous. To an obscene amount. |

| #2 David Bowie - "Diamond Dogs" |
| 03:41pm 22/10/2004 |
| |
THE EVER CHANGING CHAMELEON THAT IS DAVID BOWIE!I fucking love him.anyone who knows anything about me knows that i'm in love with david bowie.his voice.his musical talent.his fashion sense.he is a man of a thousand faces.from Ziggy Stardust to The Thin White duke.he always seems to take on the character that fits to the music he's creating at the time."Diamond Dogs" happens to be my favourite album from him.It starts out with "future legend",a spoken word ode to the haunting fututre that was conjured up in his mind.it kicks right in to the title track, played live.the album, unlike his other work, seems like one long song.tracks flow into each other and seem to never end."Big Brother" & "Chant Of the Ever Circling Skeletal Family" are the same song!lol.oh well.amazing album.go purchase it.
THE BIG NUMBER ONE IS UPON US! |

| #3 Pink Floyd - "Ummagumma" |
| 07:14pm 25/09/2004 |
| |
this is a double album from Pink Floyd.probly their least notable work aswell. the first disc is the Ummagumma studio album.comprised of animal sounds, heavy percussion, droning feedback, and soft whispering.to enjoy this disc, pop it in,make sure you have surround sound, turn off every light, sit in the middle of the floor, prepare to have your mind blown clear out of your skull.i dig the first disc so much.it's like, just so fucking trippy.the second disc is the live disc.since the music conceived on Ummagumma really couldnt be played live, they wrote a shitload of songs to play live."Carefull With That Axe Eugene" happens to be my favourite.they're all amazing songs.this album was made during and after the split with Roger "Syd" Barret.that should explain a little of the weirdness.all around amazing album that deserves recognition 10000000 times over. |

| #4 The White Stripes - "Elephant" |
| 09:57am 19/09/2004 |
| |
if you know me,you know i like the good ol' rock and roll.the old shit.the stuff that is actually music.what is being produced today is basically shit.it's fucking trendy style music.im not talking about hip-hop.i dig hip-hop.i'm talking about this rock bullshit.it has no taste,no meaning, and it's brainwashing the youth.it's very rare that i find a newer group that i actually fall in love with.the white stripes came to me in the form of a late night wake up call on fuse.they played the video for "sugar never tasted so good".i totally fell in love.that was off of their self titled debut album.3 albums later, comes the masterpeice.elephant is the kind of album where you can listen to every single bleeding song and just sing along and get that feeling.you know the feeling.it just makes your heart skip a beat.thats elephant.perfectly written, perfectly played.simple.genious.close to my heart. |

| #5 Sonic Youth - "Sonic Nurse" |
| 09:51am 19/09/2004 |
| |
sure,it's their newest album, but who the fuck cares?i'm not going to just automatically pick the older albums because it makes me seem hip and cool or whatever to know their old shit.i definatly know SY's older stuff,if you know me,you know i do.i just feel that sonic nurse is their best stuff to date.it appeals to me more than any other one of their albums.with this record, sonic youth shows us where they are at this point in their lives.they dont want to just be considered noise rock anymore.it's almost like a coming of age album.jim o'rourke needs to never leave sonic youth.he makes their albums that much more enjoyable.my favourite song on sonic nurse would have to be kim's "i love you golden blue".the whole album is summed up in this song.take my word for it,the record is amazing.go buy it,turn the lights off,lay down in your bed,put on your biggest set of headphones, and indulge. |

After Ryan Adams left Whiskeytown,he totally blew up.Everyone from john mayor to jason mraz have totally rode on Ryan's coat-tails and taken his spotlight....but what does Ryan have to say about this?nothing,he just throws up the finger and plays his music."Love is Hell" was originally released as 2 ep's after "Rock N Roll".it was a collection of ryan playing with nyc and tennesse blues groups.really great, mellowed out stuff.Ryan adams has the best voice in singing today.go buy his albums. |

| #7 Wu-Tang Clan - "Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)" |
| 10:51pm 16/08/2004 |
| |
this album is phenomonal.9 brooklyn mcs together as the Wu-Tang Clan.nobody has heard this kind of groove before.it was so grimey and gritty that you simply couldnt avoid or ignore it.this when released at a time when hip-hop was all about glitz and glam, just a bunch of jokers.Wu-Tang came out and basically shut that shit down.with songs like "Shame on a Nigga" and "Wu-Tang Aint Nuthin To Fuck With",it opened up alot of minds and informed us all to where hip-hop was moving. |

| 09:38am 16/08/2004 |
| |
a bunch of british boys playing country twang?get the fuck out of town....lol.this is my favourite of all stones albums.they went from pop-esque catchy tunes,to honky-tonk ramblin' catchy tunes.you cannot loose with the rolling stones!it's like,a law somewhere that they are allowed to do whatever they want and people must like it.i'm down!my favourite track on the album is entitled "Monkey Man".it's just so raw and it hits you like bamboo stick to the forehead.absolutly loving this album.in my opinion,i think the Stones should have kept this whole twang thing going..... |

| #9: "Kill Bill Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" |
| 09:42pm 15/08/2004 |
| |
wow.that's all that can be said.you can't simply go and listen to this album without first seeing the film.every song has it's purpose for being there.it has always been said that Quentin Tarantino has a knack that most others don't have for putting music to his films.Kill Bill is no exception.the opening song by Nancy Sinatra entitled "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) explains the film right there!!!QT did something he has never done before in a film,he used a score!Quentin had asked the RZA (of the Wu-Tang Clan) to compose a score.he did,and it was loooved.it captured the grittiness of the old 70's chop-socky kung-fu films.there are even kung-fu film stings!!!!it's absolutly superb to listen to.the thing i love the most is that he adds dialogue from the film in the soundtrack.whether you're driving 50 mph over the speed limit,or hangin with your favourite gal,the Kill Bill soundtrack is the perfect thing to listen to! |

| #10- Wilco - "A Ghost Is Born" |
| 09:40pm 15/08/2004 |
| |
not since the Beatles has there been a band with more potential and talent than Wilco. After Uncle Tepula,Jeff Tweedy formed Wilco.there debut album,"Yankee Hotel Foxtrot",was a whole new sound.the world was listening to some horrible rap-rock beast, and Wilco came and stepped on it's foot.there sophomore album,"A Ghost Is Born" is melodic, heavy, and beautifully written. From the soft whisper of "Hummingbirds",to the blasting echoes of "Theologians","A Ghost Is Born" has something for everyone who loves music! |
